I saw this article today. I thought that I would be keeping my 2023 Max Tow forever. After checking out Mojave and Rubicon MSRP I may have to reconsider.

They aren’t retooling and they are getting rid of massive inventory before filling bankruptcy imo ? I love my Jeep but this company is sliding on a downward slope unfortunately. Keep an I eye on quality , it will probably get worse with cheap outsourced parts from poor countrys . I have read this from what the top ceo has said. They are cutting everywhere to try to compete. Hopefully it works out for them but I have my doubts ?

Check their reviews. Saw them when shopping recently, and their reviews mention bait and switch frequently. Several reviews of people calling about a vehicle, saying they have it, drive 3 hours away, and get there and all of a sudden they don't have it. I think I even saw one where they took deposit on it, and they had issues getting the deposit back on the vehicle they "sold to someone else." Also, if you dig deep, you'll find where they replied to a bad review with three paragraphs of Robert Frost quote. 😂 The old saying if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't is something to keep in mind with dealerships.

Just posting a dirty "trick" I just found on the Jeep builder. The Max Tow Package ($1995) requires adding the Trailer Tow & Aux Switch Group ($1295), so it's a minimum $3290 if you want Max Tow. Unsure if this is old practice, but it's a d*ck thing to do. This means the cheapest Max Tow on 2025's is a white one for $43,285. Fathom Blue? $44,180. If you can get the 7% like Granger/maybe Koons, that's $41,087.

Slightly less dirty but annoying, you can't get the 10% off MSRP aaaand the 0% financing for 3 years. It's an either-or, same with any other incentives. So these "steals" out there you're stuck with ~7% financing. Good for cash buyers, but with money markets paying 4.5%, and inflation persisting, I was hoping to finance it all and sit on the cash.

More Price Stuff--
A Sport S with Max Tow, in Fathom Blue, and "premium package" to get body-colored fender flares (take note friends that they Sport S now comes with black plastic flares, whereas in 2024 it was painted (and only the Sport had plastic), so now you need to add the f'ing premium package for $4295 to get the painted flares, which does also get the top. So if you were like me, and fine with black plastic top but not okay with plastic flares, the Sport and Sport S (ie, the only two with Max Tow) are now all messed up-- and $52,000.

Buyout for my 21' Willy's lease is $32k come this May. 27k miles actively. Looking less and less like buying it out makes any sense as much as I love it.

Now I have to figure out how to hide my Desert Doesit seat slam 😜

That's definitely not old practice. When I built a Sport S in 2021, everything was kind of a la carte (a magical time). The max tow package was only $1195 at the time and the auxiliary switches were a separate package that only cost $295 and regular tow package was $395. And the body colored fender flares were part of the S package like you said. It's a shame the game they're playing now.
