You know, service departments don’t tend to see trucks without problems. That doesn’t mean that they all have problems just because they see a few. Plus, it makes sense that they would see more problems come in the door from 2020 through 2022…those are obviously the most common model years. Basic statistics. That doesn’t mean purchasers should avoid those build dates though, just that more exist in that group.The actual data is what's been read on Gladiator pages and conversation with people at my dealership.
Yes, some may assume it's a stretch but the theory fits with the timeline and build years.
OP, don’t worry about this build date range. Otherwise, you’ll never find one to buy! Just like any vehicle purchase, make sure it’s in good shape and check for TSB/Recalls that might be open.
