Technically it doesn't, because the JLU has a cross bar in the rear that the rear side straps to. The front has been confirmed to work.

I am looking for rear only as well. I like the sun, but want something to shade the kids in back.

You could still use the JL rear, it just would be kinda flappy when driving. Maybe a little "Murica" ingenuity could address that issue.
