I'm hoping someone with some MR706's will be willing to help me out. I'm working on specing out what wheels and tires I want to run on my Mojave (on order). I think I've narrowed it down to the MR706 +25 on Wildpeak RT01 35x11.50R17 C running Apex RPV valves. Should give me the offset I want on the wider axles of the Mojave and give me the air down speed I desire like on the Teraflex nomads.

I saw an example of someone running the standard length Apex valves on MR701's (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...d-bead-grip-wheel-opinions.72674/post-1188712), but it appears that the valve position is slightly different between the two models (and the 0 offset on the MR701's is going to give me too much poke on the Mojave). I emailed Apex to see if they could confirm that their valves will work with the MR706's and to confirm whether the standard length or XL would be required. Unfortunately they weren't able to confirm but suspected based on photos that they should fit and that the standard length should be the way to go. That said, they just steered me to their measuring video.

My goal is to possibly buy both the wheels and valves during black friday to save a few bucks, so measuring myself and catching the sales is not going to work.

If anyone out there has a set of MR706's, could you confirm the depth of the valve well on these wheels, measuring as shown in the video linked below? If you could also measure the diameter of the well, that should also help me confirm if these Apex valves will fit without issue.

Thanks in advance!

That is mine that you references in your post. You may want to reach out to Method Racing Wheels for those measurements. During my research it appears that they are all drilled to similar spacing for the standard valve stems to work on them. They may move it around depending on the wheel design. The 706 is the same as the 312 and they are both drilled differently. A friend of mine that has some KMC bead lockers had to go with the extended valves.

Thanks for the insight! After posting this thread last night, I sent them an email to see if they could assist. Looks like they just tried to give me a call, but I couldn’t take it as I’m about to go through TSA. Hoping they can help!

I have the standard valves on my kmc grenades with 4.75" backspace. They are really close to the wheel.

In one of the Northridge install videos they do mention you can change the location of the gasket and install to outside the rim for slightly longer valve stem clearance.

Thanks for the info! I had stumbled across that on the Apex website too (about the gasket) looks like with it in the inside of the rim, there is .5” of clearance with the standard size. If the gasket is moved to the outside of the rim, the clearance is .6”.

was able to just speak with someone at Method just now, he is have their engineering check for me. I’ll post the feedback when I get it for others in the future.

Well, I did get confirmation from a sales rep at Method that they will work. I was hoping for some dimensions, but he assured me that the engineering team had reviewed it and said the standard Apex valves would work. Based on that, the tentative thumbs up from Apex and Judging the wheel photos with my own eye, I think I’ll be good to go.

That said, if anyone with 706’s stumbles across this thread, I’d still love some actual measurements!
