Misfire Cylinder 1

I have a misfire in cylinder 1. Just came on randomly. CEL light is solid, not flashing. I have no loss in power at the moment. I tried disconnecting battery terminals for an hour to see if that cleared the code. However it is still on. Can someone confirm the location of the cylinder 1 ? Also from what i am reading this seems to be a common issue with these coil packs, Can someone Confirm? Would it be worth it to upgrade ?

You are reading wrong. It's not common for coil packs to go bad.

Cylinder 1 is front right/passenger side (US Jeeps)
It's not a common thing. Could be any number of factors, not just coil pack. Could be spark plug, could be injector, could be valve/cam related (since it's a 2020)
The code didn't clear meaning it's still detecting a misfire. Why not diagnose and see if the misfire is ignition or fuel related, perhaps something else is going on.
You disconnected the battery to clear a code instead of using a code reader? How'd you figure it was #1 if you didn't have the tool to read and clear codes?
Also -pulling the cables off the battery won't kill the system since there are two batteries. The aux battery would still power the electronics unless you took the two black cables apart when you took them off the main battery.

Join the club bud. I have a brand new 2023 Rubicon and mine has been in the shop once already. Misfire on cylinder one along with the check engine light and every other light that you can possibly think of all show up on the dash. If I am driving for 15 or 20 minutes, it will come and go. The engine light will flash and then it will stay solid. I’m assuming that’s because I’m going through Gears at higher RPMs. So when I go back into first gear, it starts all over again. But the dealership swapped coils and plugs with number three and it seem to work for about three days. It’s been a shit show. 1000 miles, and my biggest fear is not just the replacement of coils and plugs, but the replacement of many other parts .

And if you are not using Jscan for a different tool, how did you find out? It was number one? Regardless, hopefully you get things sorted out. I hope I do as well. I was forced into buying this vehicle because my Ram had severe issues with water getting in the rear window and causing several issues for me. The dealership was unable to repair it and got me into this jeep, and I fell in love with it. Now this.

Thanks for the info. I scanned with a tool from auto zone real quick in the parking lot. P301 cylinder 1 misfire.

Well it seemed really easy to search for Cylinder misfire issues is all i am saying. Thanks for the help. I used a code reader and that is what came up, so that is how I know its Cylinder 1. What fuel related could be causing ?
