Modified Rebel Off Road XPLOR rack.

We started with a Rebel Off Road rack and modified it to accept inset 5 gallon Jerry cans.

We built mounts that all accept padlocks. The padlocks came in a set keyed alike. They do not allow anything to rattle.

We put in a Literider tonneau cover when we ran out of time to do a custom aluminum cover. We had to cut down the header to allow for the can boxes. We also trimmed up some metal in the other end to get a better fit.

It will work with the rack the way it comes from ROR. We had to modify part of it due to our custom gas can mounts. We were also able to make it fit a bit better by trimming some metal at the back of the bed on the cover. You do not need to do that though. We did it just because I had a couple of friends doing it who are perfectionists with a machine shop.

Very cool set-up. Do you have any pictures with the cover rolled up? Im very interested in doing the same.

Just grabbed a few quick shots for you.

When rolling it up you need to put it at an angle to clear the uprights. Then push past them and straighten it out again. Not perfect, but not bad.

Here it is rolled back as far as I can roll mine. Normally it would go back further but I have the gas can boxes in the way.

It will definitely lower the amount of dust. Mine is still pretty dirty back there from weeks in Death Valley.
