I will never forget when my then wife and I decided to go car shopping for a new car. I'd decided on an Eagle, so we drove to the AMC/Jeep/Eagle dealership in Mason City.
Oddly their Jeeps were all parked near the building but not a one of them had a snow plow on it. In the past, you would see a couple of Jeeps parked near the building with snow plows on them.
As I got closer I got a big surprise. There sat two Eagles, one a sedan, another a wagon, with the snow plows on them.
I asked what was up and the tech said the Eagle was better at snow plowing as it was a much better balanced vehicle and had better traction when plowing.
I would add that that would likely only be the case in certain years with that viscous coupling transfer case, the NP 119 or NP 129

I’m not that savvy. If you need protection I could do that lol
And thank goodness people like you exist. You, first responders/EMT and so on.
Multiple times I've been aided by such people and just can't say enough good.

I see you have a front receiver hitch as well as the Western snowplow hitch and a winch too boot. With the snowplow attached, thats a fair amount of weight to drive around with. I imagine you try to drop the plow off for most trips?

What I would really like to know is if you were able to mount both of these hitches with provided parts or did you have to fabricate some plates to accomplish this?

Yeah, it's a bit of weight. I have dual-rate Synergy springs up front. They handle it very well.
I do now try to take the plow off for most driving.
The Bulldog winch plate sits so that part of it is right where two of the receiver bolts need to be. So I reversed those receiver bolts - instead of head in the frame, nut outside, I have head outside and nut inside the frame and used carriage bolts. I also had to grind a bit on the winch plate.
For the plow bar vs. receiver I had to trim a bit on the receiver's tube brace to clear the plow mounting bar. Didn't impact strength at all because they could have used the same brace with the pointed part cut short but they made it easier for manufacturing by leaving the extra bulk in place.

Sometimes you get creative....... and have to think it through.

The plow's frame side brackets that bolt to the Jeep's frame and between which the plow's mounting bar bolts doesn't quite clear a steel bumper. So I had to put small notches in the plow's brackets.

I took the mounting bar off this spring because of it sitting sort of low and the air flow issue up front. With it off I COULD put the skid plate back on, and may do so but then it would be another thing to take off when putting the frame brackets back on the frame and mounting the plow's mounting bar again.

Outstanding information Shadowspapa. I have pondered attempting what you have done. Your detailed description and excellent photography will help me when I get into this project. I was worried I might have to give up the front receiver hitch. Rarely used but sometimes very useful.

Handy for maneuvering a trailer in tight spots...

For all I talked to my plow guy and he can move the shock reservoirs to mount the plow bracket so I’m going with the Mojave, he said no issues
Thanks for everyone’s input

If that's the case he likely already knows he'll need the longer frame brackets to drop the plow's mounting down otherwise you'll be pushing downward and that will tend to lift the front of the truck as you plow.
There are two choices for the Western mount - standard (which I have) and longer brackets which drop the plow mount down for lifted trucks.
You want the plow's frame to run not a lot off parallel to the ground. Parallel is best but you can run some downward angle with no issue.

This is with my first pair of Synergy 1" springs.
I am now running their 2" springs which gives me just a bit of downward angle from the truck to the plow.

I did my own install because I didn't want anyone hacking on my wiring, didn't want splicing and such. I made adapters to connect to the park/turn lights so no wires were cut anywhere on the truck. It's all plug connector connections. I could remove it all and no one would know there was ever anything electrical connected to my truck.
I'm just too OCD and picky to let someone else do it.

If you are having someone install it, you won't need to deal with all of the wiring and connections, pulling the grill, feeding wires through the firewall, battery connections, pulling the bumper to bolt on the frame brackets, finding locations for the lighting control box, all of the relays and other fun stuff. :whew:
