My Rockhard 4x4 mid-width bumper arriving tomorrow

You mentioned above that you had the plastic oem bumper. I was curious if this Rock Hard bumper allows the skid plate to stay on?

I know the bumper kinda has its own skid plate just curious if the factory one could be tucked under/behind it? Or is the oem definitely not needed?

I'm planning on painting the bolt heads, or something.

New bumper completely covers the area that the OEM plate was.

Nice! I spy flat-tow brackets. What will you be dragging it behind? Just curious. We currently flat-tow ours behind a V10 powered class A. I highly recommend the Cooltech LLC flat tow harness.

Mostly they are there for future proofing.....We have just begun our trek into RV shopping. I had a 2002 Jeep TJ that when I sold it this past spring had 52,000 miles on the engine because any trip we took that we thought would be fun to have the Jeep with us (Colorado, South Texas, Florida, etc) we would flat tow it behind my truck. We will do the same with this for now....

W hat diameter is the grill guard? It looks kinda small in relation to the beefy bumper, are there tabs welded to it for lights ?

Sorry for the delay...the bar is 2" diameter and yes there are tabs welded to it for lights. It will fit a 10" lighter or 2 individual lights

Looks great. Have you decided on a winch yet? Does the RH4x4 allow for pretty much any winch to fit?

Yes...the Rock Hard lit. says it will fit all of the main brand winches...Smittybilt, Warn , etc.....My winch arrives tomorrow. I bought a Warn EVO VR 10-S along with a factor 55 Flatlink E. The mounting hardware that comes with the bumper includes a short bolt for the upper driver's side attachment to Jeep Frame......it states that you use it when mounting a 12,000 Warn ZEON so the body clears the mounting bolts. that being said I think you will find most any winch will fit.

I’m sorry but whoever designed that had no idea of the meaning symmetrical. Why is the RH 4x4 off to the side in no mans land? At least center it or don’t put it on there.

Rockhard offers a version with a 2 inch receiver in the center. I think they put their logo off to the side so it could be in the same place in all their models. Makes it cheaper/easier to idiot proof their manufacturing I bet.
