Needs to be repainted?

Hello im new to the forum and just bought a gladiator. I was hoping someone could shed some light on an issue I am seeing on the paint. I plan to take it to a body shop eventually, but It's a 2020 with 50k miles on it.

Yeah the clear coat is getting ready to peal. Shouldn't need paint, a good wet sand and respray of clear

I have a similar issue starting on my 2020 of the same color and mileage. I'm a little curious, my YJ went 25 years before showing similar peeling, and Jeep paint of the mid-90s has a terrible reputation for longevity. Anyone have any idea why we're seeing this issue after maybe 5 years on Gladiators? I wax mine every 6 weeks or so, so I was expecting to see more life out of the paint...

Just an update for anyone else that has this issue.

Took it to detail and body shop companies so far. They all told me they have never seen this before and the detail guy tried to get it out and nothing happened. He feels like I do that it is under the clear coat.

Clear coat is failing. Will need sanded and re-cleared.

Of, if it is just the hood, perhaps have just the hood wrapped. I’m thinking about going that route down the line…

Its the hood and all four doors. None on the roof or fenders
