I've been browsing this site for a few weeks now, lots of great information so thanks. I just wanted to get some thoughts on the following:

I've been working on a deal for a new 2020 Mojave, with an MSRP of 52,365. Its being done 100% virtually and its an out of state deal. It looks like we are closing in on some good numbers for both my trade and the Mojave, interstate transportation will be free. I've negotiated the price down from 52,365 to 48,365 and I know my financing is good because I'm going in pre-financed with 3.24% over 72 months. I'm in NJ and I tried a few dealerships but I can't find a local dealership willing to discount the Mojave. I get the occasional $500 off or $1500 worth of conditional rebates but outside of that nothing. This seems to have worked out well, I'm waiting for the paperwork to be delivered via email. Since this is my first out of state deal with a dealership I have two questions for the group. Is the discount good and for anyone familiar with doing an out of state new vehicle deal, is there anything I should keep an eye on? Thanks in advance and if things work out I'll be posting pictures soon.

There's a dealer in NC that has 5-6% off invoice I believe. My '21 Mojave is 8% under invoice out of Nashville area. Have to travel a bit but maybe worth it. May also be a dealer closer to NJ thean the NC one is. Can't remember for sure.

I would not be inclined to buy a 2020 before I test drove it.
I assume you have read the "Loose Steering" threads. If the dealer is shipping the Mojave to you after all the paperwork, it is yours. Seems like some have the loose steering, others do not. Mine did not.

Depending on the manuf. date, the 2020 you are looking at could have the new steering box.

Price is relative to your area. Some dealers stick with MSRP, some go 8% below invoice. Looks like your deal is around 3% under invoice plus the dealer is delivering. If you are happy with the price, then its a good deal.

Don't know how far the dealer is from you, but I would make a trip to drive it. If you cannot, ask the dealer what the manf. date is of the Mojave. If it is a late production, it could have the new box

You have a point and I agree but being I'm in NJ and the dealer is in GA a test ride is not feasible to do. I've been a jeep owner for many years, had a TJ, a JK, JL and now this JT. I've never had a problem with a Jeep I purchased (knock wood) so as a gambling man I'm willing to take the risk. If I'm wrong I'll let the bumper to bumper kick in and take care of it.

Thanks! I didn't check NE, I'm in NJ but when I checked the tri state area for a Mojave optioned the way I liked it all I could find were mostly mid to upper 50k and 60K configurations. More importantly the dealers I visited f2f offered little to no discount. I shopped, they let me walk out the door each time. I did try a couple of out of state dealers but transpiration costs became an issue. When I finally landed on this dealers site they were advertising free shipping up to 500 miles. When I told them I was 800 miles away they said not a problem. It took a few day but we ended up with a 4k discount and free shipping on a budget I could live with. Now I have a few extra bucks to throw some 35s on it and I'm good to go.

Id give Criswell in Maryland a shot or tri cities in NC for the best deal. There's a high volume dealer in VA too. Could get prob 3-4%more off and just order a 2021 mojave.

Thanks for the heads up buddy but I decided to pull the trigger. Paperwork is signed and they are delivering it Tuesday. I'm stoked!
