Hi everyone just leased a 2020 black Overland here in MA last week. Didn’t really see a ton of Gladiators around until recently. They seem to be really popular around here lately. Anyway it’s my first Jeep and I love it. Comfortable, smooth ride, great driving position and fun to be in.

Did/doing a few things since last week:

• Besttop Sunrider. Went with the black diamond because it was in stock and didn’t want to wait. I’m pretty happy with it. Obviously I don’t have the twill to compare to but it’s good quality. Not too noisy and I think it looks like a typical soft top to me. Love how easy it is to open and close.
  
  
• Black fog bezels. The one thing I wasn’t so crazy about with the overland was the silver trim around the grille and fogs. It actually kinda grew on me as the week went on though. Ordered the grille trim ring kit from Justforjeeps.com. Probably do that next week
  
  
• Bedrug with the tailgate piece. Should be here today so I’ll post about since I think they just came out with it for the Gladiator not long ago.
  
  
• Tyger soft fold tonneau from Amazon.
  

I don’t have a ton of other plans right now since it’s a lease. Probably do a smaller antenna, tires etc. I’ll add more pics once I put the grille trim, tonneau and Bedrug in.

Welcome aboard. I had the same intentions of early mods.
Sunrider for hardtop - I've had it on my jk, and was planning on getting it for the gladiator until i took the rear hardtop off all by myself. The sunrider is super convenient though and i would've gotten it if it weren't for the easy removal of the hardtop.
Tonneau cover - I purchased the Oedro for the Colorado. It was recommended by another forum member and it didn't disappoint.
Bedrug - same version. I'm still awaiting delivery, but last week i hauled cargo and scratched up the inner panel of the bed. I made an appointment with BulletLiner for next Saturday. Bedrug will be installed on top of that.

Welcome! You may find some Wrangler owners think they're superior and won't wave, don't be phased, those are the ones you don't want to know anyways. For the most part other Wranglers wave and I've found most Gladiators even honk and wave like CRAZY lol, it's great. I also noticed since yesterday, if your truck is muddy from having fun in it, the Wrangler guys are more apt to wave and more vigorously. I guess they like that you're using your Jeep for "real" Jeep things? You'll love your truck, great to see more people come to the forum!

It’s the bedrug xlt bought it from bedrugs website. Let’s look into some spots around here.

Tonneau is great for the $. The clamps to open and close it seem to take just the right adjustment to really latch into place. The bed light doesn’t interfere with the clamps but it doesn’t seem to want to clamp like it should. I’d like a more positive clamp on both sides but overall tight seal and looks great for not a lot of money. $209 on Amazon.

Howdy Joe. I’m also relatively new, have an Overland and am in Mass. Bought mine from my local dealership Planet Chrysler.

if up for it go for a Rubicon 3 piece bumper and put your tow hooks in it and same for the rear. Upgrade to a steel and add an additional tow hook. It’s a small tweak to the rear but makes it more complete.

Both mods are reversable for when you turn in the lease if you so choose.

As for the wave I haven’t run into many wranglers who won’t wave but I can tell you I get more enthusiastic waves when driving the TJ.

Welcome aboard! The sunrider is by far the best mod I’ve made to my JLUR. Enjoy it. Definitely up for meeting up at any trails up north.
