Ordering tires off the internet?

I had Cosswind A/T’s 285/75/16 on my Jeep Wrangler and really liked them and wanted to put them on my Gladiator but they don’t make them in. 285/75/17. All the A/T’s I find in that size are in the $250 and up range. Checked with my tire dealer and he said the largest tire in that brand he could get was 285/79/17!which isn’t much taller than what’s on my Sport S now but looking on the internet there are a couple of places that have the tire I want in a 305/70/17 and they’re pretty cheap at about $150 each but I’ve never ordered any tires like this before just wondering if there’s something I need to one aware of ?

Keep in mind the tire weight. Bigger tires dont all weigh the same and heavier tires can effect performance.
