Hey all.
I’m having an issue

When idling at lower rpm’s the check engine light starts blinking. Diagnosis code is p0300 and I’ll attach my freeze frames.

I changed all 6 coils and spark plugs and nothing has changed. Exact same problem exact same code. Idle is also rough.

Any ideas where to look now?

2021 glad with ~90k miles. Actual mileage is in the freeze frame

IMO, there shouldn't be that much difference in fuel trims between the two banks. I'd check the o2 sensor signal graphs to see if there's a bad or lazy sensor, and check for oil leaks getting into the o2 sensor wire connectors (valve cover leak seems to be a common source). If no issues with the o2 sensors are found, perform a compression or leakdown test of all six cylinders.

Would like to see the PIDS for each cylinder misfire count. If concentrated on the right 1-3-5 bank, may be looking into valvetrain issues that are more prevalent on that side.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll update the thread with the requested info soon.

Edit: not sure if this matters, but I did see where the evap failed a TID.

Ok, I have this figured out I think.

all of my misfires are on the driver side cylinder bank. I also have a ticking sound though very mild. I removed the oil filter and looked at it and there is some metal flakes in it.

looks to be another one with cam and lifter problems.

gonna haul it to the dealership I guess and get a quote.

or get rid of it idk.

That is for the 1st generation Pentastar and not our PUG version.

Also, I would highly recommend nothing less than MOPAR OEM from known good sources.
Thanks, do you have any links for the parts? I’d like to have the gaskets and phasers. May as well change everything while I’m elbow deep in there.

Contact Benny @AllMoparParts.com . They usually already have a kit link or can put something together and give you a discount.

I got rid of the gladiator over the weekend. This is my second jeep that developed major issues after only a few years, so it will very likely be the last one I ever buy unless FCA can improve their reliability ratings. The only good thing I can say about Jeep is the community of owners and enthusiasts are all wonderful human beings and I appreciate all the connections I made over the years.

Happy trails everyone.
