Was driving out to dinner and felt the JT running like crap.
Fortunately was less than half a mile from the house
So its got a random misfire code which I felt
Trying to find some more information on the c2226 code. Looks to be TCM related.

Either the TCM module, or the harness or connection somewhere in the circuit so the TCM can't communicate or receive expected communication.
That's how I see it, anyway...............
This is likely what you found in searches? They pretty much all agree on that code from a Jeep -

Yup.
pretty vague and exactly what I found.
sadly, I think this one requires a trip to the dealer

it was raining pretty hard when this happened. Could it have been due to water?

I took it out for a short drive this morning and it is running fine.

Is this a common problem for JL/JTs?
