I have a Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX 9 Inch Stereo I would like to sell. I am selling because I removed this from my Wrangler JLU when I traded it for a Gladiator and I recently picked up the Alpine unit to install in the Gladiator instead. This was a very good unit and works perfectly. I just cant leave well enough alone and decided I had to see what the Alpine unit was all about! My loss is someone else's gain!!

Included in this sale are the components that came with the stereo including the Screen, hideaway module and all the wiring components. I am also including the extended wiring kit for the stereo, the mounting kit and the Maestro wiring kit and RR interface needed to install it in the jeep. In total, the stereo and all the interfaces and wiring would cost about $1600 new.

The only thing not included that you would potentially want would be the backup camera interface. You have a couple options there. Either you buy one of the interfaces available for the factory backup camera, or you just run an aftermarket camera instead.

This does include wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, so it is an upgrade for those with the 8.4 OEM unit.

Asking $700 + Shipping and Fees

Hey,

Sorry about that, I sold this radio and forgot to come on here and update it. Not that it may matter, but since someone may be interested in picking one of these up new, here’s a photo of it installed:

As for OEM functions, you need a converter for the backup camera or a replacement camera. Although I haven’t tried it, I am guessing you could use two of those converters if you had the front camera. Of course u connect functions will not work. Also no off road pages, but it does allow you to change the vehicle settings and such.

It’s a pretty nice setup and one of the better large screen units available when you factor cost into the equation.

Did you have the iData Link? Curious if that will allow offroad pages... 🤔

I have been happy with the 8.4...but as far as audio tuning, factory adjustments are subpar

Alpine and the stinger are super expensive

Yeah, that kit I had pictured includes all the cables to use the I datalink. I was including the RR interface with the radio. Although the Jeep it was in didn’t have off-road pages, I’m pretty confident it doesn’t retain those Even with the idatalink. I don’t think any of the aftermarket radios do for that matter. Some of them try to replicate it to some degree.

I agree about the 8.4 radio. I did use that with the DSR1 at one point in another Jeep, but I still didn’t like not having any real audio control at the radio when I wanted it.

Thanks for the reply... The onky head units that I've seen with offroad pages are the alpine and stinger. But no info I found that says other headunits have that ability.

But the pioneer you had Lokks great! I want it lol

I wasn’t aware that the Alpine retained off road pages. That is what I have now. My current Gladiator came with the 7 inch, but I was able to get off road pages to work with an 8.4 I had in there before by using a Tazer, maybe I should try reenabling it and see if that shows up on the Alpine. Honestly, if I could have all the money back I’ve spent trying different head units, I’d probably buy the Pioneer again. I think it was the best looking unit in the Jeep and it really didn’t have much in the way of negatives.

The Alpine X409-WRA-JL is what I'm referring too...It's like 3k or something crazy... I think insane audio also has a dedicated head unit but I don't like how "toy ish" it looks

Yeah that pioneer looked great...Ikept eyeballing it but you're the only one whom I seen it installed. Looks good!

Well, I have the newer version of that Alpine - the i509-WRA-JL. It retails at $2900. I got an open box one for $1700 and it was a struggle to even pay that!

Yeah, I agree. I was never a fan of the Insane Audio product. It just seemed like a rebranded Chinese Android based radio. I think they stopped selling those recently anyway.
