Hey all,
I'm on my second go around of looking into getting a gladiator (it's a rather long process for me, my wife can attest). Two primary reasons are that I'm sort of sick of driving my lifted 1500 GMC around. It's great and all, love the V8 power and sound, but it's so freaking big it's a pain in the ass to park anywhere.
Second issue, and this one is more important here, I'd like to fit it in my garage, which has a max entry height of 81" (let's say 80" to be safe). I'm currently trying to figure out which model I'm leaning toward (hard top for sure), so that may change things, but my plan is to run 35-37s, possibly a 2" level.
From the research I've done so far Jeep is claiming 75" height across all models, but I'm not sure how thats possible considering that from my understanding the rubicon is 2" taller with 33s. Assuming that the Rubicon is actually 77" then putting on 35/37s would put me at roughly 78" and 79" respectively. That gives me a tiny amount of wiggle room but def prevents me from adding a 2" level to the rubicon (assuming my numbers are on).
Request to all those running 35s/37s. Please reply with the following (example, feel free to copy paste):
Model: sport s w/ max tow
Lift: 2" rubicon express level/lift
Tires: 35" Ko2
Top: Hard
Height: 78 1/4"
I much appreciate the info, and hopefully this can also help those who have issues with parking garages. If we get enough responses I can edit this post to add in a table. If this information is already available (did a search, couldn't find) please point me to it.
Thanks!
