Popping Top

So ever since I bought this Gladiator the hardtop has popped constantly and off road it was almost unbearable. So I tried treating the seals with 303, but it wouldn't completely get rid of the popping. It was so bad I thought my front side curtain airbag had rattled loose. Then about 4 weeks ago I was pulling the freedom top and heard a specific noise that was one of the popping type sounds. So I investigated and found these stupid black pads had worn off the white paint. I decided to put some soft sided velcro on the top where those black pads would rub/pop. You can even see in one of the pics that it has depressed and started to wear down that spot on the velcro. There are six spots. 3 per side. Not a single pop or rattle since. I'm posting this for no other reason than helping one other member. Hope this helps someone!
