I think he was just pointing out that he changed from the bushwacker to the PS flares.

For the JT the ones I will eventually get are the JCR. Paint them to match (look at the JL pictures on their page since they have them painted instead of black on red) & they look like a more aggressive OEM in my opinion. Nemesis are also right up there with them for appearance. The MC ones I think may be the strongest based on the appearance of construction, but they look clearly aftermarket to me instead of looking like they belong.

I went with the bushwackers for a very simple reason. Cost. I have many many other upgrades I want to do & the cost of quality aftermarket fenders & inner fenders even just powdercoated black are in upwards of 2k. The bushwackers can be had for less then 500 on amazon & when I bought these I had also ended up with a couple hundred in amazon gift cards so I didnt have much out of pocket & I figure they should last me till I get the rest of my major upgrades done & then I will replace them & probably be able to sell them for close to what I paid.
Thanks for the clarification. Yup, the cost is significant, no doubt.

OK, Im confused now. The pics appear to show the Bushwacker flares that you mention arent solid. Was this just to support your statement that they arent substantial and you had first hand knowledge? Also your last partial statement mentions Bushwacker and Poison Spyder, are you also saying the PS Crusher flares wont hold up? Understand I am not arguing, only trying to follow the discussion here as to whats quality and whats lesser. For the record, I am only considering metal fares and have pretty much narrowed it down to the PS, Fabtech, and Metalcloak. Unless someone really has something powerful to say and evidence to back it up, I am likely going to pop on the MC. They appear the most well designed, follow the body lines well and install very easily while providing amongst the best protection.
I’m showing why I switched to PS flares. They’re outstanding in function and form.
I used to have BW flares and they are terrible. Not only does the sun quickly fade them, they can damage the Jeep if you contact anything at all. They’re purely a cosmetic upgrade for those that like that sort of thing.

I’m not intending to pick on you BTW.

My apologies.
