Bought a Bestop safari style bikini top (Link to the exact one) for my Gladiator, in part because from the description, I should be able to leave it on and put the tops back on. Note I said "should."
The rear top, no problem! It's the front tops, there's a problem, unless I'm doing it wrong.
Put on the passenger side top, after folding back the front edge of the Bestop, so far so good. Had unzipped the zipper in the middle, before hand. So I could latch the front down without issue, I could probably get the center latch with some difficulty, but it's the outside latch to hold the top on. There NO way to get it to latch it! You can't go around the edge of the bikini top, it's pulled taut by the straps. MAYBE I could've "wiggled" the latch into place through the top itself, but I guess I expected something easier.
So, am I doing it wrong? Or is it really a "wiggle it through the top" sort of thing? (Which, based on the ONLY Youtube vid I could find of someone reviewing the top on a Glad, sounds like it might be.)
Now, don't get me wrong, I like the top! It installed easy, it helped keep the interior cooler despite the sun the last couple days, but it'd be nice if there was an easier way to get those outside latches!
