I have a new Overland, and I notice that when I wash it, the door jams on all doors get wet inside the truck. I notice that there seems to be daylight in the fitting of the door to the body at the bottom front edges. I presume that is normal for some reason. Perhaps because the doors are removable.

Not Normal. There should be no daylight and the inside of the Jeep should not get wet. Do you mean water is actually making it all the way into the jeep? Not normal at all if so. If you mean just the door jamb, before the seal, yes, that's normal. But daylight is definitely not.

It is just the door jamb that gets wet - there is no other moisture in the truck other than that when I open the door after wash. I'll have to check that daylight thing again more carefully when it gets light.

That sounds normal as far as the moisture goes.

The daylight issue should not be normal, unless you have sill covers installed. They tend to interfere with the sealing at the bottom of the doors until the door seals fully conform to the sill cover.

The other area I'd look at, is the seal of the rear hardtop window (If you have hardtop), those have been prone to leaking.

Don't start looking at gaps and finish refinements... it's a jeep, and they are not designed for tight panel fit. Just get a top lift and some door hangers in your garage, and enjoy the open air!

Now that i carefully look at it this morning, from the inside everything seems tight. I was just concerned that on the lower left of the doors there is a gap that allows you to look a bit beyond an area that would be totally sealed in most vehicles. This must be part of the design and the only water that gets in, is in the door jamb when you open the doors (not surprising with that gap on each door), and everything else is dry. Apparently as you say, it's a Jeep and that is just the way it is designed. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that the doors are removable.

But it's 20° outside! There is a guy with an old CJ around here that rides roofless/doorless with folded windshield all year long. But he's crazy. Has to be. :like:
