Is there away to get the sag out in between the crossmembers or is that just how it is?

Depends on the sag - mine was replaced about 3 or 4 months after I bought the truck due to "excessive sag". I had photos of other Gladiators with the same cover, took pics of mine with a straight edge on the cover (an 8' long level) and compared photos and got JeepCares involved and eventually my dealer relented and agreed - it was worse than what's normal.
My new one was a huge difference. Not that there's NO sag, as there's a little bit, but it's not enough to pool rain and form ice ponds in the winter.

Interesting, I just assumed the large skating rink on mine was normal. Now I need to go take a better look.

I don't have any great current pics of the rear and it's in the shop now for a couple small issues, but here's what I have.........
Not that there's no sag at all, but there's nothing that will pool a lot of water or have enough water to freeze into a big chunk in winter. After a car wash there's very few water areas and they are small.
