Yes, you did - I followed-up with examples of how I re-learned my 8th grade science/physics lessons all over again. Nothing like personal experience to really make it sink in.
I liked those examples too. Nothing like a 100+ degree garage.

I thought this thread was about the pump itself overfilling the tank, not the person. 4 out of 5 fill-ups if I jam the nozzle as far as I can and use the auto hold thing and just stand back and watch my truck fill with gas, when its full it always disengages the hold open lever then burp out about 1/4 cup of gas all down the side of my truck and on the fender. Different stations, different speeds of fill and even different depth of the nozzle in the filler neck and none of it seems to matter. Fuel always flying out.
I just had this happen for the first time. I thought it was a f'd up nozzle

I have noticed that the filler neck seems to sit at an odd angle. I can't get the gas nozzle to fit more than 3/4 in and twice now it's vomited gas back out after the auto shut-off. I'm pretty sure this isn't user error, I've never had this happen with any other vehicle in my life, curious if anyone else has this issue with the 2022's?

Back in November I wrote the post below. Generally I have always topped off.

But since I've actually gotten my Gladiator, I only go 1 extra click. Just out of habit. I've found that once the Gladiator clicks off, its done. I can get maybe .2 gal extra in. But nothing more.

So its not worth it. This is very different from my last vehicle where I could get more than 2 extra gallons in by topping off.

Now I run it till it clicks, squeeze it one more time, which causes it to click off almost immediately, and call it a day.

My days of topping off are over for now. Its just not worth it in this truck.

Do you obey every sign that you see?

I've been doing it for years and never had a problem. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I can get almost 2 extra gallons in if I top off.

Thats 15% more fuel and more range. My plan will probably be to continue to top off as I always have. If it causes any trouble while I'm in warranty, I'll have it fixed for free and then stop topping off.

If in 3 years I don't have any trouble I'll continue to top off.

For what its worth, the Gladiator evap canister costs about $135.
