Quote function in threads

What does the quote function that is located between like and reply on someone’s post do? When I select it it pops up a message but I have no idea what this function is for.

If you hit "Reply" to a specific post, it will quote that post and allow you to reply directly to it.

With "Quote" you can quote multiple posts and reply to them individually in a single post.

Gotcha, I just saw that an ‘Insert Quotes’ button appears when you select quotes. That was the piece I was missing. Thank you.
