When I’m in 2 wheel drive, is it front or rear wheel drive? The diagram on the cluster display suggests it’s front wheel drive since it shows that yellow line encompassing the front wheels.

Rear wheel drive. The power from the engine goes rearward to a transmission and Then into a transfer case that always sends power using a rotating drive shaft to the rear wheels when in gear. when shifted to 4 wheel drive it splits the motion and sends power to both axles.

Rear wheel drive

the diagram shows you the angle of turn for your front tires. Only works in low speeds so is an off road built in goodie!
