I recently found that my rear sway bar link was loose after hitting fairly easy trails this weekend. On closer look the upper captive nut broke cleanly off.

Anyone else have this happen or know what might have caused it?

I had trouble with them coming loose, then ripped one out while running some links which were too short. I have since fabricated some brackets which bolt on over the factory mounts, and use a regular nut on the back. Jeep's design on the stock bracket sucks!

Question for anyone with experience. I'm thinking this rod end could be what may have caused the issue since I'm not even sure how my mechanic would have been able to torque it correctly the first time. In looking at the installation pdf for the 3.5" overland + kit It's definitely different Any thoughts?

Thanks for getting back to me and sending the parts right away @Clayton Off Road

Also, the shop will weld more steel to the bracket shortly.
