Rear view Mirror mod!! better than just flipping it?

Hey folks. just posted a video to youtube of a cheap/simple fix for sport rear view mirrors. it moves the mirror higher without losing the dimming tab on the bottom. i don't generally do videos, so don't hate on me too hard, lol.

I wonder if youd be able to do it without having to pull the stem out of the truck, and just remove the mirror by its self.

That's an interesting idea. maybe with the window folded down. but it's just so easy to turn it to remove it. and it's not that hard to put back, despite how it looks in the video. it just takes 2 hands.

yea it seemed very easy. My only concern was that it seemed to rattle once you put it back in in the video

i have taken it in and out quite a few times. Including disassembling the mount itself. And also trying the full sized ram ball mount with the thread adapter like the guy that mounted his gps there. So, I wouldn’t worry too much about that. Even with that little bit of play i only barely notice it on extra bumpy roads.
