Because I added a bed topper, the factory rear view mirror become next to worthless so I removed it and installed a Wolfbox G900 Tripro on the dash. It's low enough I can still see over the hood (and I'm only 5' 9"). Man. This increased the front visibility immensely and I love the setup. Especially on parking lots. But I think I can do better.
What I would like to do now is remove the adaptive cruise control unit. That *&^%$#@! thing works so poorly on the hills here in the Ozarks so I won't and don't use it. So here's where I am. I see how to "delete" it from the computer. That's a piece of cake. And looking (with the cover on) I think I see how to remove it. My questions is will there be a gaping hole or dangling wires? If so, is there an easy solution? Somebody else must have tried this and can show me a quick snapshot of how it looks.
How does it affect plain old cruise control? The answer should be it doesn't. From my house to the Badlands or Big Bend or Monument Valley is a two day drive and that would be nice to keep.
