Retroactive Sting-Gray Gladiator Build Thread

So I intended to make a build thread when I started modifying my gladiator but it never happened. I bought it in November of 2019 and used this forum a ton for research and inspiration. I figured I’d go back and document what I could, in case it helps anyone else, and to keep track of it all in one place. It’s at a decent stage now, but more changes are coming soon!

Now we go back… day one.

Right out of the gate I had the dealer tint the windows and line-x the bed, on the house, and negotiated a reduced price on a Mopar 2” lift.
I left the freedom panels off and got the cab soaked in the first 48 hours.

I ordered wheels and tires the first night and did the 2” lift with @Quadratec recon wheels and 35x12.50R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers as soon as they shipped.

Then I removed the bumper splash guards, installed a stubby antenna and got my dealer to swap my red lettered all-weather mats with a black lettered pair. I picked up some Rubicon take-off rock sliders for $40 and was pretty damn stoked with that.

I built some simple rolling stands for my doors and top. (Im actually going to sell the door caddy and make something different if anyone is interested)

Her first Christmas

Her first trip to the mountains: I swapped the stock fog and running lights with LED’s from Amazon. It was underwhelming.

As soon as I got home I installed the @ORACLElights oculus biLED headlights. They had some fogging issues in the beginning and the color spectrum near the cut-off took some getting used to but they were a great upgrade

I added the Rugged Ridge aluminum trifold cover and the neighborhood birds gave me shit over it.

I then added a @Bestop Sunrider and smoked my signal/running light lenses.

I took her to Ocala and played in the mud. Broke some fender tabs splashing in puddles.

Replaced the tabs and took her back to the Mountains. OHV park and general exploration. Good times. More mud.

in June 2020 I decided she needed to stretch her legs, and finally got around to getting the wind shield fixed that cracked in the first month.
