Still waiting on the electronic tuning to be done for the 21's but my RIPP should ship soon. I opted to have my intercooler powder coated black, so it wouldn't be too noticeable from the from front grill. Anyone else do this? Did anyone else get the performance coil packs?

Powder is thick, I would think it would impede heat dissipation. I have had tons of stuff powdered and if I wanted to black out an I/C I would rattle can it. The fins will get bent and the powder will crack. I have prismic samples here, here is a shot. Notice the powder cracking?

I mention this because I/Cs get beat to hell. Despite being superior to paint in most cases, I don’t think an I/C is one of them.

You dont want it powder coated or painted. You want it anodized.

I have to question Ripp’s dyno showing 50lb/ft gains from coil packs...but their baseline is good. If their dyno is accurate, theyre laying down big power.

Ah damn, yeah an anodized black would also look insane, like a black chrome almost. Never thought about anodizing one, very cool.
