Rock Slide Engineering Touch-Up

I have the Gen3 RSE steps with the extra armor. I have significant scratches on the armor and am going to remove it, sand, and paint them. Has anyone had good luck with a particular touch up paint? I’d like to match the main step slider body as well as possible, as I have no plan to remove those. People have said they’ve had good luck with the AEV paint for stock steel bumpers, and I have nasty scratches on my rear bumper as well. I’m wondering if that’s also a good match for RSE stuff. Thanks.

I left them on and masked the Jeep instead. It turned out just fine. I used VHT chassis flat black.

Originally I was going to remove the armor to paint as there’s a dent on the driver side I would have worked on. In the end, I decided the dent didn’t affect function, and doesn’t show much after being painted. Maybe next time.

The passenger side turned out better. I was less lazy and masked the emblems and rivets with a knife to match the outline. Doesn’t matter much though. I’ll do it again the next time i mess them up. I also bought touch up paint and painted the aluminum rivets flat black.
