Rosette or Plug welds on axle

anyone familiar with issues or lack of weld on the rosette or plug welds joining the axle center to the tubes? Was doing gears and noticed there isnt much of anything in the center section holes to the tubes. Every other axle I have ever seen the plugs like mushroom out with weld.

The big holes next to the cover are not supposed to have any weld in them. They are for spreading the housing with a special tool.

Not concerned with them. Ive never seen the plug weld holes not filled. Im going to scrape the rust/paint out and see how the initial filet welds look. But was surprised at hownlittle weld was in em
