I decided on the RC hd sliders for a couple of reasons. First, I love the look.. Second, the actually bolt to the frame. Third, they don't hang down. Fourth, did I mention they look awesome!

First up, delivery. They came packed fairly well, although whoever the shipper was did their best to destroy the boxes. They arrived bubble wrapped and protected. 5 stars.

Second, instructions. There were none. I had to download them, which is no big deal and fairly typical nowadays. Unfortunately, those sucked. So Captain Redo here had to do the driver side twice. Would it really be that tough to stamp or scribe the parts driver / passenger? Although, looking back, the parts were wrapped in either green or white bubble wrap, so all the green go in one side and the white on the other. I did have a question about where it says "insert into frame". Called RC to make sure I was to blindly drop it in. They confirmed, on a Saturday afternoon no less. So 0 stars for instructions, but 5 starts for customer service.

Third, the steps themselves. Awesome. Fit is great, they feel solid, and look badass. 5 stars.

A couple of pro tips. 1) support the steps on jack stands if you're doing it yourself. 2) The rear body bolt is a PITA. I swear I thought I broke it, both times. And it takes forever to come out. A heads up on that would have been great.

Overall, 5 out 5. Only thing lacking is a damn sticker!!

the above comments are spot on.....

Just installed these last night and the floor jack was my best friend.

one other step i took was to line them up then mark what the will cover and then tapped off the rocker panels and paint the body below the fenders and the whole pinch seam area black. that's a personal thing for me i don't like the body color showing in front of or behind the sliders

I am mounting some LED lights inside the sliders which will come on with the bed lights when unlocking and will show through the grates on the top will post some photos here when complete.

rear body bolt is tough use a 1/2 drive breaker bar with cheater extension to break loose and it has to be 8 inches long so beware

although the bars look exactly the same the are not and like samd1351 i had to break everything back down and start over please rough country put some orientation marks somewhere and highlight them in the instructions

I agree the customer service was great and really appreciated speaking to someone early on, to get me back on track. I suspect that the poorly written instructions refine the customer service staff so maybe its a win. the trend seems to be YouTube install videos. this might be something to think about.

having and running a tread chaser through the mounting holes might be a good idea as well.

photos to follow....

Those are nice! I have the Go Rhino D6 steps but they don't wrap and contour towards the back end of the cab. I like rough country. I've always had good luck with their products.

Not seeing a lot of reviews on these. They look like a nice product.

It's been awhile since I've been on here. Details on how you did the lights please. That looks awesome. Can you do a pic at night?

the lights are 12v LEDS from amazon (links below)
the white lights i had purchased for another idea but decided against it.

I wanted some entry courtesy lights and i saw the cut away areas with the mesh welded in I thought lights would be cool coming up through there. so prior to install i added the white LEDs via the adhesive backing.

while i was at it i thought some red coming through the RC cut outs in the middle would be a nice touch and ordered those.

the lights are wired to the Bed lights so the factory courtesy light timing. Which was my desire since I didn't want them on while driving.

Some duct tape was used to block most of the light from coming through the large area directly at the body.

I may be pulling these sliders back off to rearrange the lights for more evenly. I also have some translucent red plastic i want to bond behind the RC in the middle and to add the waterproof connectors.

I will get a night view this evening...if i remember

Definitely looking at adding these. One of my boys got me a couple of strings of led lights for the bed, not realizing there are bed lights. Now I know what to do with them.
