Has anyone mounted the SyKlone precleaner to a Rugged Ridge Am Fib Snorkel? I purchased one from Snorkel Upgrade. It hits the windshield and will not tighten around the high snorkel neck. I can run out the support rubber bumper (that sits against the windshield) but this makes it more unstable and does not help with the fact the pre filter will not tighten enough.
Issac (Snorkel Upgrade) said several folks are running the pre-filter on the RR, but didn't offer much help and didn't respond to request for a return. I have the Sy-Klone Series 9001 Air Precleaner - Ă— 3-inch inlet base unit with inlet reducer adapter, which is the correct one for the 3.6 engine.
I get it that I'm running a potentially sub-par snorkel, but it was a gift and I like the fact that it is a removable/reversible mod.
