I sat wondering how a frame can have a dent anyway. You'd have to slide something under the truck to simply "dent" it. The labor to straighten such a thing would be stupid crazy. Of course some shops will do a quick estimate to get business - hope they weren't that sort.update:
So the second bodyshop I took it to which is JEEP MOPAR certified had identified that the frame is too damaged to fix. The first one said they could fix it, said the frame only had a dent. Looks like getting second opinions is worth it since the second shop declared it will be a write off. Anyone looking to fix their JEEP I would definitely recommend taking it to only JEEP certified !
Waiting for news from insurance now...had a feeling they didnt want to write it off since they have to payout market value. ?
So - how do you "dent" a frame? (especially without directly contacting it)
