So a bunch of snow and ice fell off my building and onto the hood of my Sarge Mojave. It now looks like a golf ball - and I have to look at it every time I sit in the seat (which makes me very unhappy). I called the dealer, and they estimated about $500 for the hood and $1000 for paint.

Does anyone have either (A) experience with this issue and can recommend a path forward? (B) A Sarge Green Mojave hood sitting around or (C) a better price than what was quoted?

The hoods are aluminum so best to replace your comprehensive insurance will cover it and comprehensive usually has a lower deductible

When I was getting ready to sell another vehicle, I found the best-reviewed dent repair guy on yelp. He came out to my parking spot and for $100 fixed a few dents that had me doing triple takes: even knowing where they were I could not find them. He used a suctioned mirror with lines on it and snake-like tools to smooth out the dents from inside the panels just using existing access holes. This wasn’t on a hood though, but I would try this route if it was me.

Yeah, paintless dent repair would be the best bet here.

Without seeing the damage.

I just checked mine, 21 MOJAVE, it is a Steel Hood. the Mojave is the only Gladiator with steel hood. Definitely check with a Paintless dent Repair specialist; any body shop can recommend the one they use.

As others stated, I would at least try PDR first before going through the hassle of replacing it. With the amount of hail that we get here in TX, some of the PDR guys here are amazing at what I've seen them remove without any trace of the damage. Hope it's an easy fix.
