I’m sure they write dollars upwards for a tax right off !!I just picked mine up Tuesday it was in the body shop for a week I had to wait two weeks until I could drop it off they had to get the hood, doors and Tailgate from jeep The body shop I went to does all the paperwork and gets it approved by jeep. The total repair cost they charged jeep $9,800.
Far as I know Parts are in primer and still need to be painted. Sadly larger parts like hoods, fenders ,doors etc… usually have some minor damage that needs to be fixed before painting.Wow....so they dont repaint, they get new painted parts from the factory? Didnt know that
They don't because Jeep has to pay the body shop for it.I’m sure they write dollars upwards for a tax right off !!

Did they opt to simply replace or did you have to push for it? I'm just starting the process for hinges, 1 door and two spots on the hood. Taking the truck to body shop on Monday for them to do the estimate.they didn't repaint mine they replaced it They also replaced the doors and tailgate, all the aluminum parts. I dropped it off last Tuesday and will pick them up this coming Tuesday They gave me a 2025 Gladiator as a loaner My repair was done under the corrosion warranty
I went to a Jeep dealer and asked if they would sub it out to a non-dealer body shop. They wouldn't.I also have corrosion that has developed.
I contacted my dealer regarding the corrosion on my hood and tailgate, and they literally sent me an email stating that they did not want to be bothered with those kinds of claims and so they refer everyone to a certain third party. That third party is over two hours away so I would like to have it done somewhere else closer.
For those of you who have had this done at a non-dealer body shop, what is the procedure? Does it need to be approved somehow? Do they have to be partners?
Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks for your reply. This is what they said (seems copied from another email):I went to a Jeep dealer and asked if they would sub it out to a non-dealer body shop. They wouldn't.
I'm surprised this is what your dealer is recommending. Who is the third party they're recommending?
Ok, that makes sense. Since the dealer you contacted doesn’t have a body shop, they refer you to another Jeep dealer that does. Thanks for your reply. This is what they said (seems copied from another email):
