Ohio SCAMMER WARNING - 'skyline45'

I paid for a Tazer Mini listed HERE and after skyline45 received the payment he has gone dark. I also contacted him via his email [email protected] with no replies. The ad met the new requirement for a photo (rule #2), so I ignored the red flags of a brand-new member with just a few posts (all following postings). His forum activity shows 'in communication' with others, so posting here as a warning so that hopefully others will not get scammed by him.

The "paper" and writing looks somewhat photoshopped. Also, that date format is more common in Europe and other countries outside North America

Yup, I gave him a few days of asking and then messaged him, 'I guess this was a scam', so even if he was super lame, that should have got a response.

Agree in retrospect that the 'paper' looks shopped. But I've bought a metric-load of stuff off forums and always have gotten great service and actually made some friends via sales, so I was less than diligent in this case. I reported it here and to the payment service. I just wanted to do a heads-up post also as when I was checking if he had been on the forum, it would show 'last seen in conversation', so trying to hopefully save other forum members' grief.

He is definitely a scammer, look at the pixelation around the writing.

I suggested on the JL Forum that the admins make it a requirement to crumple up the paper after writing on it - so its a bit harder to photoshop, but there are still some good Photoshop artists out there.

This is why reverse image searching is useful to catch scammers; I usually do one for stuff like this.
