Always tell uhaul you are towing a 1998 Honda Civic with bad tires, so you need the full size trailer. This was the last "civic" I towed ?

For all I can tell by the photo, there may still be a Civic in there somewhere!

Thoughts on a Kwik Load tilt trailer? Found one locally.

Sliding bed? Had one on the farm to haul the big bean head around. The only problem was the axles had to be locked from rolling (not good in loose soil) and the bed slides had to be kept rolling smoothly otherwise when backing up to slide the bed back, the bed wouldn't slide and you'd shove the axles back instead.
Weight?

I guess I'm partial to tilt bed trailers. Unlatch the locks - one on each side, Step on the rear edge of the trailer to tilt it down, drive car up slowly until the trailer started to tilt back down - sit tight, wait for bed to settle completely down., lock bed latches, strap car in place, done.

If that Kwik Load is steel, it might be heavy. If it's aluminum, and if it's easy to lock the axles and slide the bed back, not a bad thing. You'd need to block the car so that you stopped it in the appropriate position on the bed, and ensure the car could not roll back off the trailer.
I wonder what it's like sliding the axles backwards under the bed with 1.5+ tons of car on the bed....

I guess I'd need to try it and see it in action.

Thanks for the heads up on potential problems. It's steel. Will probably stick with a standard trailer and ramps.
