So after looking at all the SEMA threads (thanks @JAY for posting photos), now I see why nobody on this forum is talking about the show. Have to say I'm rather unimpressed by most of the aftermarket products presented for the JLs.

In particular, there's a complete lack of tasteful bumper options. Even ARB's bumper was very disappointing. Every-thing is either "Mad Max" or "Baller" style. And the FabFours JL products are probably the most hideous of all...if I see another stupid "Angry Birds" grille I'm going to scream.

Anyway, here are a few **functional** items that look really interesting that could either work on a JT or you have to think the manufacturer will tweak the design to work on the JT.

Nice integrated set of tube doors that don't scream "hey look at me"...just basic function:

Full width AEV bumper looks great and offers a lot of front end protection:

Great idea for a rear step...reminds me of rear steps on Land Rover Discovery I's and II's:

While the Pintler is classic AEV, the Salta keeps calling me with its Dakar Rally design:

Rear tail light "protection", but I'm not sure it helps protect the light unless the cage sits 1" or more off the face of the light:

Only other set of tube doors that don't look silly:

Soft half canvas doors with removable upper sections:

Rear tail light guards are funny because they generally redirect impacts around the replaceable tail light and into the steel body lol. Seen several intact tail lights smashed into a Jeep's body because of those things.

They look cool though. AEV and ARB always make good kit.

Yes, lots of modern light guards and front bumper brush guards are nothing more than damage multipliers.

Exactly why I said above the cage surrounding the tail lights needs to sit ~1 inch off the face of the light.

Something like this in concept:

I'm not sure galvanized or zinc plated wire cage looks right on a modern Jeep. But a semi-rigid ABS plastic cage could look similar to the orange Jeep light guard (but bigger) and give to bend and flex while protecting the light but snap and break at the point it would bend the metal quarter panel.
