I got my Mojave from the dealer with the Mopar tri-fold tonneau cover, and while it's great at doing what it does, I kinda hate it. I basically never carry precious cargo that needs that much security, and it just adds another several steps to getting into the bed that I could do without.

I've seen some Gladiators with spare tires mounted in the back, molle/pals panels on the sides, tie down points on rails, etc. I want to start making my bed more user-friendly, but I need some inspiration.

Flex away!

These are old photos but a good look at how I went with mine. Dual Swing Cases which hold a good amount, all my straps, rings, chains, a small set of various tools and tie downs, etc. I put my spare in the bed with an NFAB Rapid Strap, keeps it out of the mud for when I need it. Leaves the front half of the bed totally free. I plan to add a bed rack on top this year and the front molle panel.

Very nice - I like how you could still get a tonneau cover on there with the wheel lying down like that. I've seen a lot that have the wheel at a 45 degree angle against the back window too. I guess that gives you more bed room from the tailgate, but it wastes everything under the wheel.

Where did you get those cases?

Still trying to get it exactly where I want it. But it’s slowly coming along. Pics are current, but plan on getting the Diamondback light that attaches to the cover, mount my mag light, maybe get a decent shovel set up, and possibly a hi-lift. But for now…

I love that lifting strut setup - never seen one of those before!

Are those Putco panels? Or someone else's?

Thanks man, panels are JCR Off-road. Cover is Diamondback. Love that thing.

Oh nice! I was looking at those JCR panels. They seem pretty reasonably priced too compared to Putco. You like them so far?

And now that I see the full pic, I DO recognize that Diamondback cover. I think Ben and Cassie (Gear & Gadgets YouTubers) had one of those on their JT.

Love the JCRs. Did a bunch of research on panels prior, and for me I like that the sides are one solid piece as compared to some are two sections. And seems minimal but I also like the fact they have the bed light cut out.

-As far as more room near the tailgate, I put the tire mounts there on purpose - you can put the mounts wherever you want like further to the back. The actual mounting location isnt locked to any specific place.

-Yeah I chose to lay the tire down so I could see out the rear window. If I get my bed rack I might mount it standing up instead.

-The cases are called Swing Case, you can find them on like Rugged Ridge, Truck Hero, or directly if I remember right.
