Finished my bed setup - Diamondback SE + Builtright

Been chipping away at this for a couple months. I use my truck a lot for my work at a ski resort. I wanted a way to secure tools and other gear as well as having a way to transport skis and other stuff on top of the cover. It has been working out great so far so though I would share my setup. Love the Diamondback covers. Had one on my Tacoma. Traded that truck for the JT and now have a topper camper, so no need for another cover. Wouldn't hesitate to gat another if I were in the market for one. Always felt that stuff was more secure locked in the bed than in the cab.

Here's a summertime hack I did, if you're interested; I adjusted the rear hatch lock rods to engage BELOW the cargo rails when the cover was fully closed. In the summertime, I could engage the rods in the middle of the cargo rails, which left about an inch gap open for ventilation. Still secure, but lessened the bed becoming an easy-bake oven in the blazing sun.

Several months in and this bed setup has been killer..My gear doesn't budge ever and the cover is rock solid. I bought two Old Town fishing kayaks the other day and got them home by stuffing one in the bed and the other on the crossbars. Not ideal but it got them home without issue. In the process of assembling a Monroe kayak trailer to get them around. I really love that my kayaks and trailer were all manufactured here in Maine. If it doesn't rain this weekend we will be taking everything on its maiden voyage down the river. This truck thrives on adventures. Can't wait!
