AEV 2.5 lift On 37" KM3 tires.
Hey guys,
My truck developed a shudder/vibration. Figured I'd post here to get some more input on what it could be and what to look at next. Thanks to Dan (@WILDHOBO ) for helping me yesterday to try to rule out some things and try to figure this one out.
Most noticable at lower speeds, especially 10mph. Pretty sure there's still a slight rotational sound of something being off at high speed.
symptoms;
Rolling between 1 and 15mph it feels like driving over rumble strips like on the side of a highway. Most noticable around 10mph.
Putting trans and transfer case in neutral doesn't make it go away.
Swapped the wheels and tires with another set but it's still there, though less pronounced with AT tires vs my mud tires.
Alignment was just done to see if that was it.
We torqued down most of the front suspension components.
front left axle ujoint has a slight click, but not sure that would cause such a big vibration.
Driveshaft seems to spin fine and is tight, though it looks like a weight might possibly be missing or may have been removed.
It drives straight, no issues with braking, no clunking, no steering issues.
This started a couple weeks back, I figured it was the KM3 tires with the cold weather starting, but we have ruled them out of the equation.
The jeep is practically a virgin, it does mostly city and highway duty.
Thanks!
