Did our first overland trip for the season with the new ecodiesel. Perfect weather and the 3.0 was strong! Pulled base camp out to the Anza Borergo SP. No more hunting for gears like the 3.6. With endless amounts of torque.
4:30 am start packing. The wife thinks I’m crazy.
First stop was Yaqui Wells. Dropped Base camp and did some trail exploring, mountain biking, hiking and lunch.
Saw this guy out there with the chase vehicle. Must be part of the Rivian off road testing trip.
Found it was too windy at Yaqui and decided to pack up and head to Fish Creek.
made camp for the night at Fish Creek Campground
Met P and her son A the next morning. Fellow Gladiator enthusiasts. They are members of the SoCal Gladiator Facebook group.
Did some morning mountain biking before breakfast and heading out.
Averaged 17.6 MPG. Great weekend
