ITs that time of year finally.. Taking the hard top off and putting the soft top on!! ITs a very quick process but, I over looked a small step this time and wanted to give others a reminder just in case.
Like normal took the hard top off, screwed down all the soft top hard ware. last step put the soft top on and tighten down. This time when I closed the soft top I noticed it was tighter then normal and when I took for a drive there was a lot of head wind coming from the center top of the wind shield like the soft top was not fully seated in the seal. Welt that was exactly right.. Hardly even noticeable but, I remembered one key step I forgot. When I put the soft top on I tighten the screws down right away. Instead, I should have closed the soft top and latched it then tightened the screws down for the soft top. The soft top screw holes have a little bit of a slider. By tightening them down first the top was not able to sit natural in its given position. Once I loosened and closed and tighten it the air gap issue was resolved.
