I'm considering buying a Gladiator to build as an overlanding rig. I'd like to get input from this forum on what you would build, from what Gladiator model you would buy to all of the modifications you would make. No exact budget, so I'm mostly interested in what you would do without a budget.
I am based in the Midwest and will do most of my overlanding and off-roading in the KY/NC/TN region, but would also like a truck that I can drive out to CO, UT, CA, etc. I'm not looking for a rock-crawler, but want to be able to navigate tough trails. I would like to have some sort of bed tray system for a fridge/freezer unit, as well as storage for my gear, etc. I also need a 2-4 person rooftop tent.
Ok, spend my money! What would you build?
