Sport S Stock Rims Painted?

Just put in an order for a Gladiator. Should have it in 4-5 weeks. I got exactly everything I wanted on it, but wasnt able to swap out the rims. I did however, upgrade to the All Terrain tires, hoping that will make it look more manly. I really do not like the stock aluminum rims on this vehicle. Anyone out there paint their Sport S stock rims? Got pics? Additional thoughts?

I have a base Sport model, not the Sport S. It came with black steel wheels. I bought a set of the exact same wheels that you will get on your truck. Paid $200.00 for all 5 tires and wheels. I paid the seller an additional $50 in gas money so he could drive to Nashville to meet me for the swap. I was going to throw away my factory el cheapo black tires and wheels. But he wanted to use them as a spare set for his truck.

Anyway the point is that many members here have tires and wheels to sell and you can find great prices here. Look around for good deals. You will find them.

I did that on a completely different vehicle, but the results were fantastic. It completely changed the look of it. I didn’t do black, but a dark gunmetal metallic. It was on a 2016 Mazda 3 2.5S 5 door grand touring. The silver wheels were decent looking 18s, but the silver just didn’t look right. The next year, Mazda offered them in basically the same color.

I got a friend of mine who does wheel repair for dealerships to hook me up, I only paid $200. You can have 4 powder coated without any kind of discount, for $400 which would hold up better.

Do you think there is room for anything bigger without a lift. I think I am planning on putting the levelling kit on the front.
