Hello to all,
If this topic has been covered, I was unsuccessful utilizing the search feature...
I have used this product in the past on an HD44 build to spray the truss and brackets and this worked great! However, the axle and skid plate were always being touched up from rock contact. What I failed to ever really pay attention to was durability from rock chips etc. from every day road use.
Has anyone ever used this product on Rocker Guards or a Front Bumper? How well has it held up to every day road wear?
I am on the fence about powder coating and using steel it paint to touch up. OR just going with the steel it paint to coat them from the get-go. I do live in a salty environment- right on the ocean. My maintenance habits usually consist of climbing under the jeep with a can of black rust preventing spray paint after each off road trip. However, I do not want to crawl under every couple weeks just to cover rock chips, and regret not having them powder coated to begin with. - Sliders are going to be welded on, so pulling off to powder coat later isn't really an option.
Link to the manufacture for anyone who hasn't heard of this paint.
