I recently picked up a used Steering Smart Drag Link. It's a newer one. My question is, should it have a tapered adaptor on the knuckle side. I got a Steer Smart tie rod at the same time and it has tapered adaptors on each end. The pitman arm side of the drag link is tapered. I'm changing out ball joints, drag link and tie rod and don't want to end up with everything apart when I find out I need the tapered adaptor. Thanks for the help.

The first two are the drag link, the third is the tie rod with the thing I call the tapered adaptor

That actually looks like a no-drill top mount drag link.

I think you're right. To use as a bottom mount it looks like you need a red tapered adaptor and a washer. I searched and watched way too many YouTube videos and never got this close. Thanks
