Stock Height Wheel Question

Hello Everyone,

First-timer here from Delaware, just bought my JT two weeks ago and am loving it so far! I love the look of the Fuel Contra wheels on the JT, but was curious about the sizing for the wheels and tires...

Question: What is the maximum tire size allowed for a stock height JT with 20"x9" wheels? I don't plan on doing any suspension modifications for a long while and heard that you can have 33" tires on a stock JT without any rubbing, but was unsure what the actual size could be with a 20"x9" wheel.

Hi and welcome. I’m a Delaware boy... live in PA now. Have a place in Lewes.

YMMV (your mileage may vary)but a 33” tire should fit fine.

20” rim is a lot of wheel/little bit of sidewall so you may sacrifice ride comfort and off road-ability. Depends on how u plan to use the Jeep.

Can you put the JL Rubicon OEM wheels and tires on the Gladiator Sport S? Love the look of them, and I wouldn’t have to drop $3k+

They will fit. So will JK wheels - just need different lugnuts. Some say the JT rims are beefier than JL/JK rims for max towing but I’ve never seen hard data on that.

I had 34”x12” 295/15/17’s on a stocker with no issues for daily driving. So would be safe with stock rubies rims/ tires.

Pics are post 1.5in front 0.75 rear spacers are on.

I did see those, but I found a set of 5 JL Rubi wheels and tires with less than 100 miles on them for $1,000 in Middletown, where I am.
