So I am planning on doing a few mods that require removing the fenders, fender liners and other parts. I have read that the clips break most of the time when removing parts and that I should have replacements readily available. Does anyone know of a good kit that comes with a variety of clips, rivets and plugs for the Gladiator? I have seen options on Amazon and most state that they don't fit the Gladiator but fit other Jeep models. I'm not sure how accurate that is. This is my first Jeep that I have only owned for a month so I am not sure if these items are universal or not. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Here’s the advice I once received. And it’s spot on. Don’t worry about anything but the white fender clips. Don’t disassemble the inner fender from the flares. Just remove 5 bolts securing the inner fender to the body. Have around 6-10 white clips on hand in advance. I think I have the part number in the garage, as I have some left. Gently remove the one black Christmas tree style connector on the lower front of the inner fender. If it breaks, no worries. Auto parts stores have replacements and there’s only one. Gently lift up and out on the fender flare. About half of the white clips will break, but who cares. They’re cheap and easy to reinstall on the fender flare before reinstalling. The only one to watch is the very rear bottom one, that one I would do separately before the rest. It connects to plastic that likes to break. After it comes lose, don’t pull away from the body until you disconnect one wire connector that supplies the fender lights. I explained in detail, but doing it this way takes all of 10 minutes per side. It’s very easy.

This picture shows the assembly after I’ve replaced the broken white clips before putting it back on. And the body with it removed.

Any time. The little plastic rivets are a nightmare, and there’s truly no reason to ever mess with them.

That makes sense. The less I need to mess with the better.
